The Hard Time was founded on a dark, stormy fall evening, mainly as a result of an ill-conceived bet. The idea was to simultaneously entertain and inform all those interested in computers and other techno-related things. While we steer away from raw satire, like the Onion, we do intentionally spice up our articles using our own brand of style and prose. With that in mind, sit back and relax while we churn out humorous techno news daily. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter or Facebook if you’re into that sort of thing. Also, we implore you to drop us a line should you have a brilliant idea for a news story or simply want to say hi. We like that.
The Hard Time team, small but mighty:
Bradley James is a lover of vintage computer tech, having built his first personal computer in 1989. He’s also a geography connoisseur, friend of puns, and budding banjo player.
Katy McDonald likes to eat soup, read technical manuals, and pet her many furry friends. She has the unenviable task of editing everyone else’s attempts at writing. According to Katy, the more peculiar the story the better.
Sherb Budkat is not only our technical wizard and in-house graphics artist with the coolest name we’ve every heard; we also occasionally let him write a story if he nags us enough.
